Iran strongly rejected the allegations against Iran of “violating the Chemical Weapons Convention”, stressing that they were unfounded.
The IRNA News Agency quoted Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in a statement yesterday: “Over the past decades, not even a single case of our country’s violation of the Convention has been reported,” stressing that Iran is a responsible member of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
“The current published allegations have their roots in the psychological war practiced by the Zionist entity, and were published after its defeat on the Lebanese front,” the mission explained.
These allegations against Iran come as international institutions confirmed the use of banned weapons by the Israeli entity in its war against Lebanon and Gaza, and Iran called for an international investigation into the entity’s use of such weapons.
