Tartous-Homs, (ST) – Last night’s brutal Israeli aggression caused severe damage and destruction to the Al-Dabbousiya, Qamar and Al-Jubaniyya bridges in the western countryside of Homs, and Al-Aridah in Tartous on the Syrian-Lebanese border, putting them out of service.

The director of the General Establishment for Road Transport in Homs, Eng. Nabil Aqoul clarified in a statement to SANA that the Israeli occupation aggression caused the destruction of the Al-Dabbousiya bridges (concrete and metal), the Qamar Bridge crossing, and Al-Jubaniyya, which are vital bridges linking Homs Governorate and the Lebanese border, thus cutting off the movement of citizens and cars across these bridges, which are considered economic and social arteries.

Aqoul clarfied that the damage to these bridges is currently being examined in preparation for putting in place the appropriate treatment for it.

In Tartous, the Director of the General Authority for Road Transport, Engineer Hussein Nasser said in a similar statement that the damage to the Al-Aridah Bridge was very severe and extensive, causing its complete destruction from the pillars to the bridge slabs, in addition to the destruction of the old bridge parallel to it.
