Czech Green Party condemns Israeli heinous crimes against Palestinians in Gaza Strip

Prague,(ST)- The Czech Green Party condemned the horrific crimes committed by the Israeli occupation entity against Palestinian civilians in Gaza Strip.

The party said in a statement today: The inhuman collective punishment practiced by “Israel” against the population in Gaza and the ongoing destruction of homes and infrastructure for more than a year don’t represent any self-defense, but rather causes suffering and indicates hatred, violence and revenge.

The party pointed out that the International Criminal Court confirmed the existence of a lot of evidence of the occurrence of war crimes in Gaza and crimes against humanity on a large scale, including the use of starvation as a weapon of war, while the civilian victims are in thousands, including women and children.

The party clarified that the Czech Republic is a state of law and as long as it ratified the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court, it is its duty to cooperate with the court in implementing its decision to arrest the Israeli occupation government’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former war minister Yoav Galant.

The party called on its government to stop supporting “Israel” and join, as a member state of the European Union, the pressures being exerted to reach a ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
