Wrestling teams hold training sessions in Thailand

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The U-18 national wrestling teams (free-style and Greco-Roman) are currently holding an indoor-training sessions in Thailand.

The camp is part of the national teams’ preparation for taking part in the U-18 Asian Wrestling Championship which will be kicked off on May 6.

“the Thailand camp is a completion of the the camp which was held at the Tishreen sports complex in Damascus one month and a half ago. Undoubtedly, the Asian championship is regarded as the best and strongest event in the Asian continent simply as a large number of pros. Wrestlers are set to participate in the said event, “said chairman of the Wrestling Federation Ahmad Jum’a.

The following five wrestlers will represent Syria in the event:Abdul Kareem al-Hasan (58 kg),Abdul Fatah Bani Marja (46 kg), Ahmad Hasoun (45 kg), Ali Rifai (58 kg) and Mohammad Sameer Naji (50- kg).
