6 people, including two soldiers and a Red Crescent volunteer, were martyred in an Israeli aggression on crossing points in the western countryside of Homs, according to a military source.
The source said in a statement to SANA that “at 05:00 after midnight, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of Lebanese territory, targeting the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon in the western countryside of Homs.
The aggression led to the martyrdom of 6 people, including 2 soldiers, a Red Crescent volunteer and 3 civilians, and the injury of 12 others, including children, women and workers in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. The aggression also caused significant material damage.
Earlier, SANA reported that an Israeli aggression targeted Al-Aridah and Al-Dabousiyah border crossings with Lebanon.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) announced in a statement the martyrdom of one of its volunteers and the injury of a number of volunteers in the aggression that targeted the Al-Dabousiyah and Al-Aridah crossings in the countryside of Homs and Tartous while they were carrying out their humanitarian duty in treating the wounded.
SARC strongly condemned the aggression which also caused damage to a number of ambulances and their work points, stressing the need to respect international humanitarian law and neutralize and protect humanitarian workers to ensure the continuation of life-saving services. It indicated that it had withdrawn its crews from the border crossings with Lebanon to ensure their safety.
