Screening of the films “Joseph’s Journey” and “Days of Bullets” at Cinema Kindi Damascus within the Syrian Culture Days celebration
Damascus,(ST)- As part of the activities of the Syrian Culture Days, the General Cinema Organization yesterday screened the films “Joseph’s Journey” and “Days of Bullets” at Al-Kindi Cinema in Damascus.
The film “Joseph’s Journey”, directed by Jud Saeed and written by Jud Saeed and Wissam Kanaan, talks about the reality of war and the pain it imposes that forces people to flee due to terrorism, except for those who dream of achieving a new and different tomorrow.
The film stars Ayman Zidan, Samer Omran, Ruba Halabi, Serena Mohammed, Wael Zidan, Nour Al-Sabah, Hayan Baddour, Ahmed Darwish, and Jawad Al-Saeed.
As for the film “Days of Bullets”, directed by Ayman Zidan, it presents a contemporary atmosphere about Syrian society in light of the repercussions of war on people, and the nature of the relationships that were created under the war’s effects.
It talks about a man who wanted to regain his social status after he was retired and faced many challenges through his previous practices with his family, most notably that on the wedding night of his youngest daughter, the closest to his heart, a disaster occurs in his narrow society when his daughter runs away on the day of her forced wedding and causes a scandal that shakes his being, so he decides to take revenge.
The film was directed by Zidan and written in collaboration with Ahmad Adra. It stars Ayman Zidan, Saad Mina, Hazem Zidan, Gabriel Malki, Saly Ahmad, Lama Baddour, Hussam Salama, Dalaa Nader, Grace Ahmar, Yamen Suleiman, Tatiana Abu Asali, Qusai Qudsieh, Hashem Ghazal, Suleiman Shreiba, Kamal Qarhaly, Nabil Mreish, Khoshnaf Zaza, Tarek Bitar, child actor Alexander Salloum, and guest stars Abdel Fattah Al-Muzain, Alaa Qassem, and Jud Saeed.
