An exhibition of Fine Arts and Sculpture within the Activities of the Syrian Culture Day celebration
The Cultural Station in Jaramana, in cooperation with the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Union of Fine Artists, held an exhibition of fine art and sculpture, as part of the activities of the Syrian Culture Days celebration.
The exhibition included 50 paintings, which included many human meanings, and were drawn in different shapes and colors, in addition to photography and sculpture in various forms.
The head of the cultural station in Jaramana, Ramza Khayou, opened the exhibition with a speech in which she expressed the necessity of the continuation of visual art and its presence in cultural activities. Because it is one of the most important cultures that express history and carry the meanings through which society develops, because it includes the finest that the artist feels through his drawing or sculpture.
In a speech, the head of the Damascus Countryside branch of the Union of Fine Artists, Suhail Abu Hamdan, pointed out the importance of the exhibition during the days of culture, because it strengthens the relationship between expression through fine art and sculpture, and the intellectual and the entire society, because the artist expresses what he feels through his relationship with people and those around him.
Regarding his paintings, the artist Bassam Al-Hajli said that he seeks in his expression to transcend time and place and push society towards love and development, using oil colors with complete professionalism.
The artist Ruba Qarqout explained that she expresses human and solidarity situations that reach loyalty and sophistication, using oil and acrylic colors.
Secretary of the Union of Fine Artists Ghassan Ghanem stated to SANA that this exhibition is considered one of the components of Syrian culture, because it consists of paintings and sculptures of the utmost importance through real talents that express the morals and values of the Syrians.
