Rouhani: Iran Not To Spare Any Effort To Remove Sanctions

President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday that the Islamic Republic will not spare any effort to remove illegal sanctions imposed on the country.

Addressing a gathering held on the occasion of International Labor Day at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, he underlined that the anti-Iran sanctions are unfounded and have nothing to do with the country’s peaceful nuclear program.

The Islamic Republic has, in numerous occasions, stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, while it is using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.

Despite the rules enshrined in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) entitling every member state, including Iran, to the right of uranium enrichment, Tehran is under numerous sanctions for turning down Wests calls to give up its right of uranium enrichment.

Meanwhile, the President noted that the government is determined to increase exports of Iranian products based on constructive interaction with the world.

Iran, G5+1 close to reach final nuclear deal, says Larijani

Meanwhile, the negotiation process shows that Iran and G5+1 can achieve a final nuclear agreement, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Wednesday evening.

Speaking in a meeting with local officials in this southern province, he reiterated that the procedure of talks between Iran and 5+1 (US, UK, France, China, Russia plus Germany) is positive.

The talks are moving forward in a constructive way and the two sides can reach a deal, speaker concluded.

Accusing Iran of supporting terrorism, distorting truth, says Afkham

On the other development, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said on Thursday that accusing Iran of supporting terrorism is distortion of truth and fully based on double standards.

Rejecting the US State Department’s annual global report on terrorism published Wednesday, she reiterated that Iran, itself, has been a victim of terrorism in the past three decades and the baseless claims regarding Iran’s support for terrorism is politically motivated.

Presence and free activities of terrorists in the United States who assassinated over 15,000 Iranian civilians including senior officials as well as use of drones in massacring innocent regional people and Washingtons inaction towards Zionists crimes against defenseless Palestinians pose serious questions about the US claims of campaign against terrorism.

Such a move threatens international peace and security, she reiterated.
