The exhibition shows the Euphrates river and its banks and its famous bridge, the heritage of the old city of Deir Ezzor, its markets, inns, mosques, churches, the architectural style of its houses, and neighborhoods, . The exhibition also photographed a group of famous manual professions in Deir Ezzor, including the manufacture of teapots, shoes ,baking in the oven on firewood and other crafts which the city is famous for.
Jumaa Al-Suleiman told Syria times that the exhibition included ninety medium-sized works about life in ancient Deir Ezzor, its heritage, buildings, archaeological landmarks, and markets.
He said the he photographed the markets as the, the old blacksmiths’ market, , in addition to mosques and churches.
Jumaa continued to say: I documented the beauty of Euphrates river nature and life on the banks of the Euphrates river, and the suspension bridge.
He said that “the exhibition carries a message to the new generation showing them the beauty of Deir Ezzor city and its nature, heritage and markets, in order to acquaint them with the local heritage of the city, and urban richness.
The new aspect of the exhibition is documenting the Euphrates University Garden, so I photographed the parts planted with roses and flowers, I used photography techniques such as controlling time, light area and its reflection on natural landmarks, “he added.
It is worth mentioning that Jumaa Suleiman has been photographing since 1969 and he has held many photographic exhibitions inside Syria.
