The Syrian national football team faces its Russian counterpart in a friendly match

The Syrian national football team will conclude its external training camp tomorrow, which it started a week ago in the Russian city of Volgograd.

The national team will conclude the camp by meeting its Russian counterpart in a friendly match at 7:30 Damascus time at the Volgograd Arena.

The national team’s technical director, Jose Llana, stressed the importance of the match and the great benefit that the national team players will gain, as it brings us together with a strong team and will be an assessment of the level that the players have reached in their positions.

Lana said: Our goals in the current camp are similar to our goals in previous camps. We  want to follow the players’ performance and develop their playing style. He noted that facing the Russian team will be difficult.

He added: I told the players to maintain their focus in the match, not to care about the result until the end and to do their best to provide the perfect performance.

Our team participated in the Indian International Championship and won the title last September and in the friendly King’s Cup of Thailand Championship last October, and achieved second place.
