A Demonstration in the Czech capital in support of Palestine

Thousands demonstrated in the center of the Czech capital Prague in support of the Palestinian people and condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The participants ,who gathered in the center of the city,  raised Palestinian flags and banners bearing the phrases “Stop the Israeli massacres” and “Freedom for Palestine”.
They expressed  their rejection of the continued genocide practiced by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians amid international silence.
 “We cannot demand rights for ourselves and remain silent about demanding the rights of others that are being taken away from them,” Petr Pospigal, Czech politician said during the demonstration.
He called for supporting the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and the establishment of their independent state.
Zdenek Behlečka , a member of the International Solidarity Movement with the Palestinian People said: “We are gathered here today to tell the government that  It must change its position in supporting “Israel” because there are many Palestinians who are being tortured and displaced.”
Monica Lee , a Czech writer and director pointed out that “what is happening in Gaza is similar to the crimes that humanity knew about at the hands of   the Nazis in the twentieth century.”
