Plastic artist Lina Deeb, Vice President of the Federation of Syrian Plastic Artists, recently participated in the eighth session of the “International Touches Symposium” in Algeria under the slogan “Artistic Paintings Translate History and Identity.”
Deeb, along with plastic artists from 27 Arab and foreign countries, participated in the symposium held at the Palace of Culture in the Algerian capital.
The artist Deeb stressed in a statement to SANA correspondent the importance of Syrian plastic art, which has proven its existence globally with its excellence and artistic and cultural specificity”.
Deeb explained that during the symposium, she presented a painting that combines Syrian heritage in its precise details in a case of entanglement with some ancient Ugaritic symbols, and linked it with the heritage of Algerians, indicating that she participated with the gathering of artists by painting large murals at the site of the symposium.
