President Al-Assad and Larijani hold talks on the ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon

President Bashar Al-Assad on Thursday received Senior Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Ali Larijani. Talks dealt with the latest developments in the region, particularly the ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon, and the need to stop this aggression.

The talks also focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in the interests of both peoples and all countries of the region.

President Al-Assad emphasized adherence to the historic Palestinian rights and to supporting the struggle of the Lebanese and Palestinian people by all means to stop the massacres and put an end to genocide crimes committed by the occupation.

Larijani, also member of Expediency Discernment Council, stressed his country’s standing by Syria and its willingness to provide all forms of support for it, hailing Syria’s pivotal role in the region and aspiration to boost this role in the service of the states and peoples of the region.
