Syrian national team intensifies training in preparation for West Asian Youth Women’s Football Championship
Damascus, (ST)-The Syrian women’s youth football team is conducting intensive preparations to participate in the fourth West Asian Youth Federation Championship, which will be hosted by the Jordanian city of Aqaba on the 28th of this month until the 6th of next December.
Five teams are participating in the championship in addition to Syria, namely Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Lebanon, where they play in a single-stage league system and the team that obtains the highest number of points is crowned champion.
Our team will start its matches on the 30th of this month with a match against Lebanon, then with Palestine on the 2nd of December, and with Jordan on the 4th of the same month before concluding its matches against Saudi Arabia on the 6th of December.
The Lebanese team won the title of the third edition that was held in Lebanon in 2022, and also the title of the second edition that was held in Bahrain in 2019, while the Jordanian team was crowned champion of the first edition that was held in Lebanon in 2018.
