Araghchi: The US administration should choose “maximum rationality” because it is in everyone’s interest

Tehran (ST)-Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that US officials should resort to “maximum rationality”, as it is in everyone’s interest because the policy of “maximum pressure” practiced against Iran will inevitably face failure.

In a post on “X”, Araghchi explained that “the policy of maximum pressure adopted by the United States during the past years faced “maximum resistance” from Iran, and ultimately led to “maximum failure”, and therefore seeking to implement the second version of pressure will only lead to the second version of maximum failure for America”.

Araghchi pointed out that the status of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program before and after the so-called “maximum pressure” policy is evidence of this, indicating that communication channels between Iran and America are always present and work is being done to manage the differences between the two countries, which are sometimes deep and fundamental and may be difficult to resolve, but it is necessary to manage these differences in a way that contributes to reducing the tension and the repercussions.
