Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs, Ismail Khalil, confirmed in a statement to SANA correspondent that since the beginning of the brutal Israeli aggression on Lebanon, Lebanese and Syrian families coming to the governorate have been received daily, as part of the emergency response plan to the repercussions of the aggression and providing all forms of support from various charitable societies and humanitarian initiatives, to secure their needs and support their stability.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aytamuna Charitable Association in Homs, Hassan Taha, noted that aid is provided daily for more than a month, and includes the distribution of baby milk, health supplies for children and the elderly, blankets, mattresses, food hampers, and others, which supports the stability of the families arriving and returning to the governorate. He referred to the association’s work to implement its goals through three teams in it to support orphans and sponsor them financially and morally, as it sponsors about 825 families that include about 2,400 orphaned children through offering them financial sponsorship and food aid on a monthly basis.
