Riyadh, (ST)-Participants in the “Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit” held in Riyadh yesterday condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and Lebanon, calling on the UN Security Council to adopt a binding resolution to cease fire in Gaza Strip, immediately allow humanitarian aid into the Strip and mobilize international support to freeze “Israel’s” participation in the UN General Assembly.

The participants renewed in a final statement of the summit their firm support for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their right to freedom and the establishment of an independent sovereign state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Al-Quds as its capital.

The participants stressed that East Al-Quds is the eternal capital of Palestine, and rejected any Israeli decisions or measures aimed at Judaizing it and consolidating the colonial occupation of it, considering them null and illegal according to international law.

Supporting Lebanon’s security and stability

They stressed their support for Lebanon’s security, stability, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens, condemned the deliberate targeting of the Lebanese army and civilians, and stressed the importance of expediting the election of a president for Lebanon.

The participants called on the UN Security Council to issue a binding resolution to cease fire and immediately allow humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip, expressing their strong condemnation of the horrific and shocking crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza Strip, calling for an independent international investigation to hold those involved accountable.

The participants rejected the policy of collective punishment pursued by “Israel” against civilians in Gaza Strip, and called on the international community to take steps to end the humanitarian catastrophe and provide all forms of humanitarian support to the Palestinians, support reconstruction programs in Gaza, and mobilize the necessary support to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations, and embody the right of self-determination for the Palestinian people.

Working to freeze “Israel’s” participation in the United Nations

The participants called for mobilizing international support to freeze “Israel’s” participation in the United Nations General Assembly and its affiliated entities, calling on all countries to stop exporting weapons to “Israel”, and to send a joint letter to the UN Security Council to demand this.

The participants also urged the International Criminal Court to expedite the issuance of arrest warrants against Israeli officials and military personnel for committing crimes against the Palestinian people, denouncing the international double standards in dealing with “Israel”. They called for respecting the international law and the UN Charter, welcoming the resolution that adopted the outcomes of the legal advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice regarding the illegality of the Israeli occupation.

The participants stressed that a just and comprehensive peace in the region cannot be achieved without ending the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories occupied since 1967, expressing their condemnation of the Israeli measures targeting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds and changing their Islamic and Christian identity.

The statement stressed the need to continue providing urgent humanitarian support and assistance to affected civilians in Gaza Strip and Lebanon, stressing the leaders’ complete rejection of any attempts to deport Palestinians, whether inside their lands or abroad.

Condemning Israeli attacks on Syrian territory

The participants also condemned the escalating Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan.

The leaders also tasked the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee with continuing its efforts to stop the Israeli aggression and mobilize international support, calling on all peace-loving countries to join the international coalition to support the two-state solution launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The participants condemned the statements of ministers in the Israeli government that include hatred and racism, calling on the international community to hold them accountable, and to reject the continued attacks by the occupation authorities on the United Nations and its Secretary-General.
