Riyadh, (ST) – Within the activities of the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the agenda of the joint Arab-Islamic summit, including the draft resolution submitted to it.
Some aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of enhancing cooperation between them to serve their common interests were also discussed.
The delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates attended the meeting.

During the meeting, consultations were held on the developments witnessed in the region, the efforts exerted to stop the Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon, and the repeated attacks on Syrian territories.
The meeting also discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, as Minister Sabbagh expressed his satisfaction with the development witnessed by these relations during the past period, and his aspiration to strengthen them to include additional areas. The two ministers agreed to continue communicating in this regard.
