Putin: Russia and African countries aspire to a multipolar world order based on equality and justice

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia and African countries share aspirations for a multipolar world order based on justice, true equality, and respect for the rule of international law.

Putin said in a speech delivered by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the opening of the first ministerial conference of the Russian-African Partnership Forum: “Cooperation between Russia and African countries is witnessing increasing expansion and remarkable diversification, explaining that the foreign ministers of the two sides will discuss over two days the prospects for implementing the forum’s action plan for the period 2023/2026, and will work to define new paths for fruitful and sustainable cooperation.”

Putin added: Russia and African countries share aspirations for a multipolar world order based on justice, true equality, and respect for the rule of international law, far from all forms of discrimination, pressure, and unilateral sanctions.

Putin stressed that Russia will continue to provide all possible assistance to the  African friends in a variety of areas, such as combating terrorism and extremism, combating epidemic diseases, and solving food problems and overcoming their consequences.

It is noteworthy that the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will be held on November 9 and 10 in the Russian city of Sochi, during which the continued strengthening of strategic partnership relations will be discussed.
