Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the next international meeting on Syria in the Astana format is scheduled to be held in the Kazakh capital on 11 and 12 November.
In a statement today, the Ministry indicated that bilateral and trilateral consultations among delegations will be held on the first day of the meeting and will continue on the following day, indicating that a plenary meeting and a final press conference are scheduled for 12 November.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry noted that the agenda of the meeting includes issues of the development of the regional situation about Syria, efforts to reach a comprehensive settlement and the situation on the ground in Syria.
The Russian President’s Special Representative for Middle East and African Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, reported last October that a new Astana-style meeting is scheduled to be held before the end of this year.
