A workshop and a people’s court of justice held in Damascus to activate the confrontation of Zionist crimes

With the participation of Syrian and Arab judges and legal experts, the workshop and the People’s Court of Justice are conducted by the Arab League Foundation for the second time. Deliberations have been activated today at the Cham Hotel in Damascus with the aim of pushing forward the Arab popular role in the legal and judicial struggle against Zionist crimes.
The participants in today’s sessions have discussed a number of working papers that will be presented to international institutions and organizations on the necessity of legally confronting Zionist crimes in Palestine, Lebanon and the region, as well as discussing the role of the media in documenting the crimes of the Zionist entity. Tomorrow, the People’s Court of Justice will be held, in a session during which the court will listen to a group of pleadings submitted by law professors, lawyers and graduate students of Syrian and Arab universities in the field of international law.
Secretary-General of the Arab League Foundation, Dr. Hala Al-Asaad, explained in a statement to the media that the workshop and the court come within the framework of the League’s plan to achieve its goals and enhance the culture of legal resistance against Zionist crimes, considering that the workshop constitutes an opportunity for Arab and international cooperation to expose these crimes, demand accountability for their perpetrators, and direct global attention to these humanitarian issues.
Al-Asaad indicated that the Arab participation included legal experts from Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, and Syria, in addition to a number of Arab ambassadors.
The Arab League Foundation is a non-governmental organization concerned with social, cultural, developmental, heritage, youth, and Palestinian affairs.
