Ministry of Tourism promotes Syria’s tourist attractions through its participation in China International Import Expo
The Ministry of Tourism, through its participation in the Syrian pavilion at the China International Import Expo, works to promote and introduce the various tourist attractions of Syria, which contributes to returning Syria to the world tourism map.
The Ministry of Tourism is participating in the exhibition in cooperation with the Export Development and Promotion Authority with a section of about 36 square meters within the Syrian national pavilion with a total area of 132 square meters through a group of institutions and tourism offices interested in attracting the Chinese market, in addition to Cham Wings Airlines and several commercial companies that display the most important competitive food products, traditional materials, olive oil products, laurel soap and the Damascus rose, which Syria is famous for.

Expanding the map of targeted tourism markets
The ministry’s participation, according to the Director of Tourism Marketing and Media at the ministry, Eng. Ruba Sasila, explained in a statement, is very important for Syria and it is part of the ministry’s plan to expand the map of targeted tourism markets, especially that the Chinese market is considered one of the most prominent friendly and promising markets of exporting tourism, and thus it is possible to make deals and agreements with tourism offices interested in coming to Syria.
The ministry, through its participation, is displaying promotional films in Chinese about Syria to introduce the aspects of Syrian tourism and the diverse and rich tourist attractions, in addition to displaying the elements of the Syrian tangible and intangible heritage that attract the Chinese market, which contributes to returning Syria to the global tourism map as a major and essential destination that is rich in its important location, advantages, and the richness of its tourist attractions and sites.

The Syrian pavilion, including the Ministry of Tourism section, is witnessing a large turnout of Chinese visitors as well as visitors of various nationalities to see and promote the rich and diverse tourist attractions in Syria, as the Director of Tourism Marketing and Media at the ministry noted.
The exhibition, which was launched with Syrian participation on the fifth of this month and continues until the tenth of November at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in the Chinese city of Shanghai, is considered one of the most important international exhibitions in which major international companies with various specializations participate.
