Irwani: The genocide committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinians is a flagrant violation of human rights

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani stressed that the Zionist entity is deliberately using hunger as a weapon against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
During a meeting of the General Assembly held last night to listen to the report of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Iravani expressed Iran’s deep concern over the dire conditions of Palestinian refugees, especially in the Gaza Strip.
He indicated that the genocide committed by the Zionist entity and the ongoing and imposed siege on Gaza have exposed thousands of civilians, including women and children, to danger.
Iravani stressed that these actions not only constitute a gross violation of human rights, but are also a deliberate use of hunger as a weapon against the Palestinian people, which exacerbates the humanitarian crisis and creates unbearable conditions for these people.
He pointed out that UNRWA, as the only agency providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees, plays a vital role in resolving this crisis, and any attempt to disrupt its activities, such as the recent measures taken by the Israeli entity against it, is strongly condemned.
Iravani renewed Iran’s demand that the Israeli entity immediately fulfill its obligations under international law, and allow the free and continuous flow of humanitarian aid to the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing that a just solution to the Palestinian issue can only be reached by ending the occupation and stopping the aggressive policies of the Israeli entity.
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations  called on the international community to take serious measures in response to the actions of the Israeli entity and suspend its membership in the UN General Assembly due to the blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law.
He added ” This entity, through  committing genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, ignoring the orders of the International Court of Justice and its continuous violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, is a direct threat to international peace and security and must be held accountable for its actions”.
Iravani stressed that supporting UNRWA and protecting the rights and security of Palestinian refugees must be a priority for the international community , indicating that   Iran, for its part, is committed to supporting this humanitarian agency.
