40 martyrs and dozens of wounded in the preliminary toll of the series of the Israeli enemy raids on the Beqaa and Baalbek

The Lebanese Health Ministry announced the martyrdom of 40 people and the injury of 53 others in a series of aggressive raids launched by Israeli entity on the Beqaa and Baalbek yesterday, according to a preliminary toll.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the Ministry’s Public Health Emergency Operation Center as saying in a statement:” 9 martyrs and 15 others were injured as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Shiqan neighborhood in Baalbek, while 2 people martyred and 3 others were injured in Tamnin al-Tahta.

3 people were martyred in Al-Ram, 2 others in Al-Sharqi, in addition to 2 wounded.

One person was martyred and 5 were wounded in Al-Shawagir, and 5 people martyred and 4 others were wounded in Al-Ain, according to the ministry’s statement.

16 people were martyred and 17 others were wounded in a brutal raid on Nasiriyah, and 2 martyrs and a third was wounded in the Palmyra Hotel and 6 people in Al-Ansar.

The Emergency Operations Center noted that rescue and rubble removal operations are still ongoing in search of missing persons.

In addition, the National News Agency announced that the enemy warplanes launched a series of violent raids at night targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Ouzai area with three raids, Haret Hreik near the Al-Manar building, Haret Baajour, and Tahwitat Al-Ghadeer – Al-Hilal Station.

The enemy warplanes also raided the town of Yahmar Al-Shaqif at dawn, targeting its outskirts near the Litani River, the center of the town, and its eastern side.

The outskirts of the town and its surroundings were subjected to hostile shelling with internationally banned cluster bombs that fell on olive groves and agricultural fields.
