Sheikh Qassem: Lebanon is facing an Israeli war that aims at undermining the resistance

Beirut, (ST) – Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, confirmed that Lebanon is facing a brutal Israeli war that aims to end the existence of the resistance.

Sheikh Qassem said in a speech on the occasion of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah: We are facing an aggressive Israeli war, and Netanyahu aims to occupy Lebanon and end the existence of the resistance, and the field alone is the one that will stop this aggressive war.

Sheikh Qassem added: Martyr Nasrallah offered great contributions and built a free national resistance that resists the Israeli enemy and works to build the homeland.

Sheikh Qassem described Hezbollah as “a structure that has extension in all cultural, political, social, educational and health fields.”

“Sayyed Nasrallah has revived us, both in his life and martyrdom. He will remain with us, he will continue and the resistance with grow and thrive,” Qassem stressed.

Sheikh Qassem warned that the Israeli enemy “will scream as all regions across the Zionist entity are within the reach of our rockets and drones.”

He stressed, meanwhile, that the US presidential election means nothing to Hezbollah.

“The strength of the resistance lies in its resilience despite the military differences. Our military will surpasses that of the Israeli enemy.”

Sheikh Qassem, on the other hand said it clear: that “the basis of any negotiation is to stop the aggression and to fully protect the Lebanese sovereignty.”

On the Israeli attack on Batroun, Sheikh Qassem described it as “a great offense to Lebanon and a violation of its sovereignty.”

In the same context, he called on the Lebanese Army to inform Hezbollah about its stance regarding the Israeli violation in Batroun, and regarding the role of the UNIFIL.
