Dozens of martyrs, wounded due to the occupation’s bombing of Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds(ST)-Dozens of Palestinians were martyred and wounded today, as a result of the Israeli occupation’s bombing of areas in the northern Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation detonated booby-trapped robots and bombed areas in the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip with warplanes and drones, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens. Meanwhile, its forces and vehicles penetrated the vicinity of the western roundabout in the city, while it has completely prevented the work of ambulance and civil defense teams in the northern Gaza Strip for the past  15 days.

A number of Palestinians were martyred and wounded as a result of the occupation’s air force bombing a school of displaced people in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said: “The occupation completely disrupted the work of civil defense crews in the northern Gaza Strip, confiscated their vehicles and equipment, and forcibly displaced many of them to the southern Gaza Strip, in addition to detaining others.”

Basal explained that many appeals are being received about the presence of survivors under the rubble of some buildings that were destroyed by the occupation during the past few days, especially in Beit Lahia, but there is no ability to reach them.He called on all international human rights and humanitarian institutions and organizations to intervene urgently to allow civil defense crews to reach them to save their lives before it is too late.

In turn, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, indicated that the occupation’s bombing and prevention of fuel entry led to the cessation of all ambulances, which has resulted in the  martyrdom of the injured in the streets due to their inability to reach the hospital, noting at the same time that a number of the wounded in the hospital were martyred due to the inability to treat them due to the loss of many surgical specialties after the occupation forces detained a number of medical personnel during their storming of the hospital 12 days ago.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the number of victims of the ongoing occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 397th day has risen to 43,391 martyrs and 102,347 wounded.
