The farmers of Hasakah province finished harvesting the areas planted with cotton

Hasakah, (ST) – The farmers of Hasakah province have finished harvesting the areas planted with cotton in various areas of agricultural stability, which began early last month.

The Head of the Plant Production Department in Hasaka Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Jalal Bilal stated to SANA’s correspondent that the cotton harvesting operations have ended throughout the province, as the harvested area reached 4,775 hectares with a production volume estimated at 18,500 tons.

He indicated that the province’s production was good for the current season, as the crop did not suffer from fungal or insect infections.

It is noteworthy that the planned area for cotton cultivation in Hasakah province according to the sub-agricultural plan was 5,450 hectares.
