Lattakia (ST) – With the participation of 250 cyclists, the second and final stage of the 4th international Tishreen Roads Cycling Tour concluded.
The distance of the second stage of the tour was 55 kilometers, starting from Dalieh, passing through the villages of Bastawir, Al-Budi, and Hammam Al-Qarahleh, arriving at the shrine of the founding leader Hafez Al-Assad in the city of Qardaha.
Head of the General Sports Federation, Firas Maala, stated that the importance of the 4th international Tishreen Paths Tour comes from its being a promotional tourism event for the mountains of the Syrian coast and its beautiful areas, and not a competitive sports race.
It is noteworthy that this year the tour was distinguished by moving between the provinces of Tartous and Lattakia.
At the end of the tour, the cyclists visited the tomb of the founding leader Hafez al-Assad and recited Al-Fatiha for the rest of his soul.
All the parties that contributed to the success of the tour were honored in the presence of the Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, Haitham Ismail, the Governor of Lattakia, Khaled Abaza, the Indonesian Ambassador, Wajid Fawzi, the Chargé d’Affairs at the Bahraini Embassy in Damascus, Kamil Ramadan, and the Chargé d’Affairs at the Tunisian Embassy in Damascus Majdi Al-Dhaheri.
