On The Sidelines of The World Education Meeting in Brazil… The Syrian Delegation Discusses Ways to Develop Joint Cooperation
The Syrian delegation participating in the World Education meeting, which is being held in Fortaleza, Brazil, held a number of bilateral meetings during which they discussed the mechanism for developing joint cooperation and common challenges facing education.
The Minister of Education and chairman of the Syrian National Committee for UNESCO, Dr. Mohammed Amer Al-Mardini, met with the ministers of education of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Libya, the head of the delegation of the state of Palestine, and the representative of the UNESCO multisectoral office in the Arab countries in Beirut, where he discussed the prospects for developing educational cooperation, pointing to the most important plans and programs that the Ministry of education is currently working on to develop the educational process and improve its quality.
During the meetings, the minister discussed the most important difficulties facing the progress of the educational process and ways to face them, focusing on appreciating the other States’ leading national experiences.
Minister Mardini also reviewed the areas of joint cooperation and its future prospects, calling for more coordination and consultation to benefit from the expertise and experiences of international organizations concerned with education, especially with regard to enhancing progress towards achieving the fourth goal of sustainable development.
