Syria is participating in the deliberations of the World Education 2024 meeting held in Fortaleza, Brazil, which aims to work on shaping the main stage of political mobilization for education, and laying the foundations for a common vision for education in the post-2030 plan.
The Syrian delegation participating in the meeting, which continues until tomorrow, is headed by the Minister of Education, Chairman of the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Muhammad Amer Al-Mardini, and includes the Assistant Minister of Education, National Coordinator for the Fourth Goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, Dr. Rami Al-Dhelli, and the Secretary-General of the Syrian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Nidal Hassan.
The meeting includes working sessions for discussion, exchange of experiences and lessons learned, and enhancing multi-sectoral and stakeholder dialogue among member states, in addition to an in-depth study of the links between education, health, environmental sustainability, technology, innovation, economic growth, peace and social justice to reach a more peaceful, just and sustainable future.
