Occupied Al-Quds- (ST)-The Israeli occupation continues its brutal aggression on northern Gaza Strip for the twenty-sixth consecutive day, within the framework of the war of extermination that has been ongoing for more than a year on the Strip, as its north is being exposed to continuous shelling, the demolition of homes, and the destruction of basic services, in addition to field execution crimes and detention campaigns, which resulted in the martyrdom of about 1,000 Palestinians, the injury of hundreds, the disappearance of dozens under the rubble, and the detention of others.
The occupation also prevents the entry of food, water and medicine into the northern Gaza Strip to exacerbate the humanitarian disaster and force Palestinians who refused to respond to the evacuation orders issued by the occupation early this month to be forcibly displaced towards the southern Gaza Strip.
WAFA News Agency explained that the occupation is any sign of life in Jabalia, its camp and Beit Lahia as a result of the bombing and siege, and it has completely taken the health and relief systems out of service and disabled water wells and all life facilities as part of a series of ongoing crimes, indicating that despite the evacuation orders,
the occupation did not give the Palestinians a deadline to evacuate, as it quickly closed the streets connecting northern Gaza and the city by destroying residential buildings and blocking the roads with the rubble. It also targeted the displaced in the streets with shells, killing many of them, thus completing the encirclement of the entire northern region and its heart, Jabalia, and preventing entry and exit from it since the sixth of this month, and the occupation also besieged the three hospitals operating in the northern Gaza Strip, namely Kamal Adwan Hospital, Indonesian Hospital and Al-Awda Hospital, and put them completely out of service.
As for the city of Beit Lahia, the municipality declared it in a statement today a disaster city and launched a distress call to the international community to save what can be saved and stop the war, saying: “The people of the city are suffering from a humanitarian disaster, as the city has become without food, water, hospitals, communications, civil defense, sanitation and hygiene services. Accordingly, we declare it a disaster city and launch an urgent distress call to save what can be saved, and we call on the international community and all humanitarian organizations to pressure the occupation to stop the genocide.”
The municipality added: “We also demand the opening of a safe corridor to bring in all medical, food and fuel supplies to save the health and service system and to bring in civil defense and ambulance equipment to work on recovering the bodies of the martyrs and the wounded from under the rubble, especially after the occupation committed a number of massacres, the most recent of which was the massacre it committed yesterday, which claimed the lives of about 100 people, a large number of whom are still under the rubble.”
The municipality called for the entry of fuel needed to operate water wells, desalination plants, and sewage pumps, and for the entry of heavy machinery to open roads and remove the rubble to facilitate the movement of Palestinians, ambulances, and civil defense vehicles.
