Minsk, (ST)-Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko discussed with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh and the accompanying official delegation at the government building in Minsk, aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields.
Minister Sabbagh valued the coordination and mutual support between the two countries in various international forums, and bilateral cooperation at all levels.
He pointed to the importance of confronting the common challenges facing the two friendly countries, represented by the collective West’s attempts to interfere in their internal affairs, and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on them, within a strategic framework, which allows working on finding the necessary means and methods to confront them.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates discussed with Dmitry Pantos, head of the Belarusian side of the Syrian-Belarusian Joint Governmental Committee, bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding the ninth session of the Joint Governmental Committee in Damascus in the first quarter of next year.
The two sides’ views were in agreement regarding the possibility of working to open new horizons for relations between the two countries and enhance cooperation between them in various fields.
Yesterday, Minister Sabbagh held talks in Minsk with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
