Syrian Arab Army Continues Striking Terrorist Groups in Homs Old City and Eastern Ghouta of Damascus— Five Somalian Women Arrested
PROVINCES,(ST)_Strikes against terrorist groups have continued in Damascus countryside and Homs provinces, as competent authorities arrest five Somalian women in a bus coming from Aleppo province.
According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units destroyed an arms depot and a weapons-laden car for terrorists in Duma and Harasta areas in Damascus countryside and struck terrorist groupings in al-Mliha town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.
Many terrorists were killed in the said areas and in a series of operations in Zebdin farms, Der al-Asafirand mountains of Afra town in al-Zabadani area in the same province [Damascus countryside].
Army advances in Bab Hod
Other operations were carried out in Homs province where the army units imposed control over two buildings in Bab Hod quarter in the old city of Homs and crushed several terrorists in the quarters of al-Qarabis, al-Warsheh and al-Hamedeyeh, according to a military source.
The source added that an army unit targeted an armed terrorist group in al-Holeh area as it was setting up missile launchers towards civilians.
“The army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Khaledeyeh, al-Ghanto, EinHsien and BerjQa’e,” the source said.
Five Somalian women arrested
On the other hand, a source at Homs governorate told the official agency that the competent authorities arrested five Somalian women hiding behind cartoon boxes in a bus coming from Aleppo province.
“The arrested women have neither passports nor identity cards,” the source confirmed.
Some 30 terrorists killed
Back to the latest developments elsewhere, military sources said that two arms caches for terrorists in al-Zaweyeh Mountain outside Idleb province were wiped out and about 30 terrorists were mowed down in al-Ramoseh area outside Aleppo province.
The sources confirmed foiling an armed terrorist group’s infiltration bid into safe areas in Aleppo city and the continuation of military operations against terrorist groupings in several restive areas in southern Daraa province.
In a separate development, the agency said that the competent authorities regularized the situations of some 56 misled gunmen from Kanaker and al-Zabadani areas in Damascus countryside.
Earlier, the 56 gunmen turned themselves in to the competent authorities under the ongoing national reconciliation process.
