OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Oct.29, (ST)-At least 77 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured and missing today as a result of a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media reported that the occupation aircrafts bombed a five-story residential building housing displaced people in Beit Lahia area, north of the Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of 77 Palestinians and the injury and loss of dozens under the rubble without the ability of civil defense and ambulance teams to reach them.
Kamal Adwan Hospital Director Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya said: “We cannot treat the dozens of those injured in the “Beit Lahia” massacre due to the lack of resources, which threatens the martyrdom of most of them.”
He pointed out that the occupation has been shelling the hospital’s surroundings for hours amid world silence, calling for action to send medical delegations and aid and to stop the war of extermination.
The Civil Defense in Gaza said that over 100 Palestinians live in the targeted building and there is no ability to reach them, indicating that those who help the wounded and retrieve the bodies of the martyrs are the residents with their limited capabilities, due to the complete halt of rescue and aid operations for 5 days in the northern Gaza Strip as the occupation bombs headquarters and cadres and prevents them from moving and imposes the tight siege on the area for 24 days.
The Civil Defense stated that more than 100,000 Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip are being subjected to continuous shelling, and that there are dozens of injured people under the rubble facing certain death, in light of the complete halt of relief efforts, warning that those who did not die from the Israeli shelling will die from starvation in the northern Gaza Strip.
A Palestinian was also killed as a result of the occupation forces’ bombing of a group of Palestinians in Jabalia, north of the Strip, while 7 were killed and others were injured as a result of the bombing of several homes in Beit Lahia and Gaza City, while the occupation forces burned the “Al-Fakhoura” School affiliated with UNRWA in Jabalia camp.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the number of victims of the ongoing occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 43,020 martyrs and 101,110 wounded, while thousands of missing people are still under the rubble and on the roads, and rescue and civil defense teams cannot reach them.
