Short Film “Scrap” Wins Special Jury Prize at Mediterranean Film Festival in Tunisia

Tunis (ST) – The short film “Scrap”, produced by the General Cinema Corporation, written and directed by Firas Mohammed, won the Special Jury Prize in the short film competition at the Mediterranean Film Festival in Bchenini, Gabes, Tunisia, in its 19th session, which concluded yesterday.

The film, which was co-hosted by a group of Arab and international films, tells the story of a man who works as a scrap collector and monitors his life after returning to his town with his donkey after the war subsided, only to be surprised by its new reality.

The film stars Yazan Al-Rishani, Saeed Abdel Salam, Mohammed Zarzour, Thuraya Mohammed, Khoshnaf Zaza, Duraid Rahhal, and Mustafa Athoum.
