Beirut (ST) – Eight people were martyred in raids launched by the Israeli enemy’s warplanes today on the towns of Zawtar and Al-Shahabiyeh in southern Lebanon, while the enemy continues its attacks on various Lebanese regions, leaving civilian victims and massive destruction to homes and infrastructure.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that 5 people were martyred this morning in an Israeli raid on the town of Al-Shahabiyeh, and 3 others in a raid on Eastern Zawtar.
The agency stated that the enemy’s air force launched raids on two houses in Yahmar Al-Shaqif and destroyed them completely, and raided other houses in the town, while an enemy reconnaissance plane was flying over Iqlim Al-Tuffah since early morning.
According to the agency, the air attack that targeted the town of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa at midnight resulted in major destruction in the neighborhood of the square near the Al-Husseini Club, which includes old heritage houses that were completely destroyed by the enemy’s air raids, turning the targeted neighborhood into rubble and ruins.
The enemy also raided the town of Deir Mimas, the Jal Al-Dukhn area, and near the Ain Al-Tashtash Bridge.
