PROVINCES,(ST)_Foreign-backed terrorists have fired more than 13 shells and several missiles on five urban areas in Damascus and two towns outside Homs province, killing at least seven civilians and wounding 60 others, the official news agency reported on Monday.
The agency quoted a Police Command Source in Damascus as citing that three shells-fired by terrorists- hit surrounding of Dar al-Salam School and al-Saleheyeh quarter where about two civilians were martyred and 36 others wounded.
Another mortar attack took place in Bab Tuma quarter as a shell landed near al-Thaqafi Mosque on the outskirts of Bab Tuma square, killing two civilians and wounding 23 others.
“Several cars were damaged at the scene,” the source said, noting that other cars were also damaged and a civilian was wounded when five shells struck al-Zablatani area in Damascus.
Four more shells landed on greenhouses on al-Adawi highway, wounding a woman.
In addition, the terrorists detonated an explosive device attached to a car parking near the ‘Jhaled Ben al-Walid’ Mosque in Mashro’a Dummar area.
The blast left material damages without casualties, according to a source at Police Command.
Main squares in Damascus hit by shells
Yesterday, at least four civilians were martyred and 11 others wounded when three shells hit Aenous square and Omayyad square.
Two children, aged 8 and 12, were among the casualties, the official agency said.
A third child was among civilians who were wounded yesterday by mortar attacks on Jaramana city and al-Kabbas quarter in Damascus countryside.
Some 15 children wounded by terrorist attacks
While in Daraa province, at least 14 children were reported wounded on Saturday as shells –fired by terrorists- landed in Shamal al-Khat quarter.
Other three civilians, including a child, were martyred and 14 others wounded by mortar attack on al-Hamdaneyeh and al-Ashrafeyeh quarters in northern Aleppo province.
In Homs Province, terrorists launched missiles on towns of Em al-Serj and Kafrnan where three civilians were martyred.
On Saturday morning, a car bomb was exploded by terrorists near the ‘Kaeb al-Ahbar’ Mosque in Jeb al-Jandali quarter in Homs city, leaving casualties.
The same city witnessed mortar attacks on quarters of al-Zahra’a and al-Sabil where at least 6 civilians were martyred and 40 others wounded.
Aid convoy targeted by terrorists
In Hama province, precisely in al-Salameyeh city, terrorists blasted on Saturday a car bomb near aid convoy for the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, killing 4 civilians and wounding 9 others.
