Syria condemns in the strongest terms the blatant Zionist aggression against Iran

DAMASCUS, Oct.26, (ST)- Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the blatant Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing its solidarity with Iran in the face of the aggression it is being subjected to.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement issued on Saturday: “The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the blatant Israeli aggression that took place at dawn today against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which coincided with a brutal air aggression against Syria, in a shameless violation of the sovereignty and sanctity of the Iranian and Syrian territories, and a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter .”

It added: “Syria stresses that this Israeli aggression comes in the context of this entity’s disregard for all international laws and its insistence on its continued aggressive, criminal approach to the countries of the region, and the genocidal war and war crimes it is committing against its people.”

The ministry concluded by saying: “The Syrian Arab Republic supports Iran’s legitimate right to defend itself, protect its territory and the lives of its citizens, which is guaranteed by international laws, and expresses its strong solidarity and standing by its side in the face of the aggression it is being subjected to,” calling once again on all countries of the free world to condemn Israel’s aggressive actions, work to put an end to them, and ensure that its perpetrators are held accountable and do not get away with it .
