Chinese President Demands Comprehensive Ceasefire in Gaza, Preventing the Spread of War to Lebanon

Chinese President Xi Jinping demanded a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, preventing the spread of the war into Lebanon.

Speaking at the plenary session of the “Friends of the BRICS” meeting in Kazan, Jinping said: “We should work on a ceasefire in Gaza, stop the suffering of civilians in it and in Lebanon and revive the two-state solution plan to end the war,” pointing out the importance of protecting the world and strengthening cooperation in order to resolve the situation in hot spots.

In another context, the Chinese President explained the need to calm the situation in Ukraine as soon as possible and pave the way for a political settlement that will contribute to resolving the crisis.

He added: “BRICS” States should be a stabilizing force for maintaining peace, managing global security, resolving pressing global issues, uniting their efforts, defending the development of the common system and defending peace and peace for development, stressing that the “BRICS” course is compatible with radical changes in history.
