The 20/66 kV Amouda power station went out of service this morning due to the extensive damage it sustained as a result of the Turkish aggression that targeted it.
The Director General of the Hasaka Electricity Company, Eng. Saleh Idris, stated that extensive damage was inflicted on the equipment and facilities of the Amouda power station and its main towers as a result of the Turkish occupation aircraft targeting it, which led it to go out of service.
He pointed out that the station supplies electricity to the city of Amouda and its countryside, which led to the power being cut off from these areas, and it also constitutes a linking station between the Qamishli and Darbasiyah stations.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation targets the infrastructure in Hasaka governorate from time to time, especially the electricity sector, which led to the outage of many power stations in the areas and countryside of Qamishli, Rmelan and Al-Malikiyah, and depriving citizens of electricity.
