Israeli occupation continues siege and bombardment of Jabalia and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza Strip
On the 384th day of the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation on Gaza Strip, its forces continue their tight siege of Jabalia and Beit Lahia in the north for 20 days, amidst the continuation of massacres, violent shelling, and the escalation of humanitarian disasters, and the prevention of the entry of food and medicine.
Wafa News Agency reported that the occupation forces have escalated their demolition, burning, and bombing of homes and residential areas in Jabalia and Beit Lahia camps and the Saftawi and Tuwam areas in the northern Gaza Strip, to force the Palestinians to flee south, but many of them refuse to leave their homes. Israel also continues to besiege the displaced, the sick, and the medical staff in hospitals, and prevent access to dozens of martyrs and wounded spread out in the streets.
A mother and her child were martyred this morning in the occupation’s bombing of Jabalia camp which is witnessing brutal bombing and heavy gunfire. Several others were injured in similar bombing that targeted the displaced in Jabalia al-Nazla area. A young man was also injured in bombing that targeted a number of Palestinians in the vicinity of Salah al-Din Mosque in al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. Three members of the rescue teams were injured as a result of the occupation forces’ bombing of Beit Lahia project, while the occupation forces detained five others in the area. The occupation’s tanks also targeted and burned the only firefighting vehicle in northern Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced that its work had completely stopped in the northern Gaza Strip, as a result of the occupation forces targeting its members, detaining some of them, and bombing the headquarters and firefighting vehicles. It confirmed that the occupation forces continue to besiege hospitals, targeting the displaced, patients, and medical teams upon entering or exiting them, while its crews are unable to transport the injured, noting that the bodies of the martyrs are in the streets and under the rubble and cannot be reached.
In the middle of Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed and several others were injured as a result of the occupation’s artillery shelling of the entrance to Maghazi camp, while dozens were injured in shelling east of the camp, amid continued air and artillery shelling of residential areas east of the Bureij camp and the western and eastern neighborhoods of the Nuseirat camp, coinciding with heavy gunfire.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the occupation continued its artillery and air shelling of Al-Mawasi area west of Rafah city, and Karm Abu Muammar area east of the city.
