UNRWA: Northern Gaza Strip Witnesses Humanitarian Disaster in the Light of Lack of Food Security

United Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees(UNRWA) warned that the northern Gaza Strip is witnessing a humanitarian disaster in the light of the lack of food security and the Israeli occupation forces preventing the entry of food, water, fuel and medicine.

Enas Hamdan, the UN agency’s acting media officer in Gaza Strip said: “The scenes in the northern Gaza Strip are shocking and terrifying.

Families have been under siege for more than two weeks. Homes, infrastructure and even their facilities in those areas are being bombed, while not enough supplies and relief aid are being allowed in for the population”.

Hamdan pointed out that most of the food supplies in the northern Gaza Strip have run out and there are not enough quantities of potable water, in addition to the inability of Palestinians to access the necessary medical services and care at a time when hospitals are being directly bombed by “Israel”.
