Palestinian Prisoners Club: The occupation carries out extensive detention campaigns in northern Gaza
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- The Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed that the Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out wide-scale detention campaigns in the northern Gaza Strip since the beginning of the ongoing siege 19 days ago as part of the war of extermination that has been ongoing for more than a year.
WAFA News Agency reported that the club said in a statement today: The scenes that have been transmitted from northern Gaza recently again indicate the horror of the occupation’s crimes, their intensity and their extent.
These are the same scenes that have continued throughout the period of the war of extermination, in which thousands of Palestinians were detained in the Strip in humiliating and degrading conditions and under the threat of weapons.
The club clarified that hundreds of Gaza prisoners are still subject to enforced disappearance in the occupation’s prisons, facing crimes of torture, abuse and humiliation around the clock, some of whom were martyred and the occupation did not announce their identities and data, in addition to the prisoners who were executed in the field.
The club stated that the demands made by human rights organizations and the cries of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the genocide taking place in front of the world were not enough for the international human rights system to stop the war, as the occupation continues its crimes and violations of all international laws and resolutions amidst the silence of the international community.
Since the start of the war of genocide on October 7, 2023, the occupation has detained thousands from different parts of the Strip, including dozens of women, children and medical staff.
The occupation continues to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against hundreds of detainees and refuses to disclose their identities and places of detention, and to this day refuses to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit them.
