Initiatives for providing support to arrivals from Lebanon continue

Damascus, (ST)- NGOs, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, continue to provide support to those arriving from Lebanon as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

NGOs are working to enhance their work on the ground by applying the participatory approach to provide quality services to the largest number of beneficiaries, according to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Syria Brings Us Together” Foundation, Rami Al-Halabi.

In a statement to SANA, Al-Halabi said that the SOS Children’s Villages Association, in cooperation with the foundation, launched an emergency response campaign that began by distributing immediate food aid needs to those arriving from Lebanon, “Syrians and Lebanese,” in the Masnaa area in the Damascus countryside.

Al-Halabi pointed out that to alleviate the burdens of the exceptional circumstances on the arrivals, the foundation distributed 1,150 blankets and hundreds of boxes of water and food cans to about 300 families in centers in the governorates of Tartous and Lattakia, indicating that the initiatives undertaken by the foundation in cooperation with all concerned parties and through a cadre of young volunteers, continue to help the arriving families in all governorates.
