Iranian Foreign Ministry: Tehran’s priority is to establish peace and stability in the region

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei stressed that Iran’s priority regarding regional situations is to establish and spread peace and stability in the region, considering that ending the evils of the Zionist entity is a humanitarian, moral and legal duty according to international laws.
” The Iranian diplomatic apparatus has made great efforts in recent weeks to prevent the Zionist entity from killing and inciting war in Gaza and Lebanon and spreading to the region” Baghaei said in his weekly press conference on Monday
He referred to consultations carried out by Iran on this matter that began with the field visit made by the Iranian Foreign Minister to Lebanon.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman added  that Russia and China, as important members of the Security Council, can play an important role, noting that the two countries strongly oppose the approach of the Zionist entity.
He said: “We do not exclude any country from our regional consultations.  preserving peace in the region and helping to strengthen it is a common duty for everyone”.
Regarding Iran’s response to the Zionist entity’s threats against Iran’s nuclear facilities, Baghaei said: “We have submitted a protest note to the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the threats issued by the Zionist entity, and we will follow up on the threats issued with various other levels.”
“The recent sanctions on airlines do not change anything except that they deprive people of their basic rights”, Baghaei said concerning the sanctions imposed on airlines.
He pointed  out that Iran’s positive tendencies regarding improving relations with Europe were met with its negative response.
“We held a meeting with three European countries, and discussed nuclear and other issues, so Iran has always been in the forefront.  We are ready to deal with all countries on the basis of mutual respect and understanding based on Iran’s national interests.” Baghaei continued.
In response to a question by  SANA’s correspondent in Tehran about the increasing movement of terrorists in conjunction with the repeated Zionist attacks on Syria and the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman  stressed that “combating terrorism is essential for the security of the region in all countries, and that Iran always emphasizes the necessity of strengthening border security and combating terrorism”.
He noted that his country seeks to establish peace, stability and security in all countries of the region.
