Oxfam International: Israel killed 4 of our engineers in Gaza and must be held accountable

Oxford(ST)-The international charity and relief organization Oxfam announced that the Israeli occupation forces killed 4 of the organization’s engineers after bombing the vehicle carrying them in the Gaza Strip despite prior coordination with it.Israel demanded that “Israel” be held accountable for its crimes and an immediate cessation of supplying it with weapons.

The organization’s website stated today that “the four engineers were killed on their way to carry out repairs to the water infrastructure in Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis, and despite prior coordination, their clearly marked vehicle was bombed,”

It  warned that the killing of Oxfam engineers deepens the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where access to clean water has already become at risk.

Oxfam called for an independent investigation into these and other attacks on workers, renewing its call for a ceasefire and an immediate cessation of arms transfers to the Israeli entity.

It also called on the international community to ensure that “Israel” is held accountable for its ongoing attacks on civilians and those working to provide life-saving services.

Oxfam stressed that attacks on civilian infrastructure and those who maintain it constitute clear violations of international humanitarian law and those responsible must be held accountable. Such attacks are part of the crime of using starvation as a weapon of war.
