Weapons of Mass Destruction Have No Room in Iran’s Defense Doctrine, Says Mansouri Arani

Production and use of Weapons of Mass Destruction have no place in Iran’s defense doctrine, co-chairman of Iran-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship Group Abbasali Mansouri Arani said on Monday, IRNA reported.

He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting member of the Swiss Federal Assembly Luzi Stamm.

Mansouri Arani further referred to good ties between Iran and Switzerland and stressed the need to promote bilateral ties in all the fields.

The head of the Swiss six-member parliamentary delegation, Luzi Stamm, called for promotion of bilateral ties with Tehran.

Imposing sanctions against Iran under the pretext of the nuclear program was wrong; Iran is a great respectful country that has an important role in region,” Stamm asserted.

Stamm, who is on a visit to Tehran at the head of a six-member parliamentary delegation, arrived in Iran on April 16.
