Moscow: The UN Security Council’s Response to What is Happening in Lebanon is Inadequate and isnt in touch with Reality

Russia stressed that the UN Security Council’s reaction to what is happening in Lebanon is “insufficient and isnt in touch with the reality on the ground because of US efforts to cover Israel politically.”

“The paralysis of the main body for maintaining international peace and security against the background of an unprecedented explosion in the Middle East certainly undermines the authority of the Security Council,” Sputnik quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement yesterday.

The Ministry announced last Friday in a statement that “Moscow is outraged by the Israeli bombing of the UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon,” demanding that Israel refrain from hostile actions towards it.
