Social Affairs and Labor ministry discusses with UNICEF enhancing cooperation and providing support to arrivals from Lebanon

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Eng. Samar Al-Sibai, discussed with the UNICEF Resident Representative in Syria, Yasu Masa Kimura,  joint cooperation projects between the two sides, the implementation rates achieved, and the mechanism for achieving progress with regard to social and child protection programs.

The meeting also discussed the emergency response to arrivals from Lebanon and what UNICEF provided to support the emergency response efforts carried out by the Syrian government.

Eng. Samar Al-Sibai demonstrated the efforts and facilities provided by the Syrian government to the arrivals so as to secure their full health, medical, relief and service needs, noting that the ministry provides all the necessary facilities to make the organization’s work in Syria a success.

For his part, the Resident Representative pointed out the support and facilities provided by the ministry to the organization’s work in Syria, stressing that the organization is doing its utmost to increase support and employ it in serving the arrivals from Lebanon.
