4,000 hectares of cotton harvested in Hasakah

Hasakah, (ST) – The Hasakah Agriculture Directorate announced that the harvested area of ​​cotton in Hasakah province has reached about 4,000 hectares, with farmers continuing the harvesting operations.

The Head of the Plant Production Department in the Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Jalal Bilal stated to SANA that the quantities produced from the harvested areas are estimated at about 13,000 tons.He expected that the harvesting operations, which began in the last third of last month and covered various areas where cotton is grown in the province, will end at the beginning of next month.

It is noteworthy that the area planted with cotton for the current season in Hasakah province has reached 4,775 hectares, with an estimated production of 18,850 tons.
